Lisaney Kong is presently performing on Broadway in ROCKTOPIA. Lisaney is one of the rare few who can claim they were born and raised in Charlotte, NC. With his parents as fresh immigrants from the wars of Southeast Asia, they hoped something more for their own children. Lisaney graduated from Northwest School of the Arts, and then went on to receive a degree in Musical Theatre in 2008. Throughout college and for several years later, Lisaney toured with regional productions throughout the southeast, but moved back home to Charlotte to pursue creating his own art. During this creative phase, he has recorded and released his debut album to all major retailers, and also grew to become the owner of four franchised ballroom dance studios in North Carolina. After learning the ins and outs of being a business owner, his passions again changed, and the businesses were sold. Now you can find him on the stage, in the booth recording his next album, or giving speeches as he campaigns to become a NC Senator in District 34 (Lake Norman).
